Autism Behavior Technician - Part-time up to 4,000 Sign-On Bonus

AHSS is hiring fun and energetic entry-level Behavior Technicians (BT) and experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) (6 to 12+hours per week) providing evidence-based, support therapy to children with autism spectrum and related disorders.  Autism Home Support Services provides all training and ongoing support in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).


BT/RBTs provide direct one-on-one therapy with children in their home, clinic, school, or community. Each individualized program is written and designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the technician to execute. The BCBA will teach you to facilitate language development, social interactions, independent living skills, and other aptitudes.

Technicians typically start with a part-time caseload of approximately 6-12 hours per week, depending on region, and may grow to full-time as additional opportunities arise. Sign On Bonus Opportunities of $2,000 for entry level BTs and $4,000 for experienced RBT candidates!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a direct implementation of programs and strategies in a one-on-one or group setting
  • Enthusiastically motivate learners to engage in their sessions
  • Electronically collect data accurately to ensure the effectiveness of treatment.
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines of Autism Home Support Services and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Implement written behavior plans to decrease mild to severe aggression and challenging behaviors
  • Communicate proactively and timely with BCBAs and caregivers, and legal guardians
  • Calmly respond to unexpected behaviors independently and appropriately 
  • Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • Exposure working with children or adults with special needs
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Flexible schedule of availability to work part-time and be organized
  • Ability to commit to at least six months of employment without significant changes in schedule or location
  • Be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to client homes
  • Some college experience, not required, such as background in Special Education, Psychology, Mental Health, Communication Disorders, or Behavioral Health
  • Applicants must pass a background check to provide healthcare services
  • Experienced RBTs MUST possess valid RBT credential number on the BACB website
